4th of July Already!

Nursing school has taken its tole on me and I've been a very bad "blogger"! So today, on the 4th of July I present the Ison family! These kids are too cute and great to photograph. I have many more but this is just a start. Enjoy!

Because I can't usually get a picture of him!

So I just wanted to prove that my husband, Jamie, does exist! ;-) He's very camera shy and it's luck if I can get him to hold still long enough for us to get our picture taken, usually with a cell phone. This night was a fun night out with friends in Downtown Lexington. Good food, good drinks, and great company! Thanks to Tiffany for snapping this shot! I did edit and add a bit of texture to detract from the dark conditions, but I think it's a great shot and I'm slowing seeing some progress of my weight loss. ALWAYS A GOOD THING! 

Anyway, I just didn't want people to think I was making him up or something!

So I'm in Nursing School! Yea! This is my first semester so I'm still that happy go lucky want to see everything possible girl...ask me in a year how I like it. ;-) But last night I was trying to catch up on some reading and Casey really didn't like that idea....now granted my dogs have been a little neglected by me lately because of work and school but Jamie has been a wonderful husband and taken up the slack for me! Now back to the problem at hand...Casey not being helpful!

Merlin also has a tendency to stick his nose in my face when I'm studying...staring intently into my eyes wagging his tail...he always knows when I need a study break! What a good old man!

My first Magazine Ad!!!

My work, the Friesian Horse Association of North America decided to use one of my photos from Rolex this year for an ad in the American Driving Society's magazine. This is the final product! I'm so excited! My photos were also used in the Friesian breed profile for the Equitrekking Newsletter. So I just had to share my excitement with everyone!! Just a disclaimer...the picture is my but the graphic designer did the rest...she is amazing and having a gorgeous turnout of horses always helps!!

I Heart Faces Pet Faces

Because this is my favorite photo of Casper I have to enter it. Sadly Casper, our 3 year old farm cat disappared this spring. :-( But everytime I look at this picture it just makes me smile. Hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do!

Feathers Flying Around Rolex!

I really am blessed to work for an organization that registers beautiful horses and LOVE to show them off. Once again FHANA had the opportunity to do breed demos as the Rolex Kentucky 3 Day Event. We were the ONLY registry to be asked. The crowd love the horses and we brought more horses and included driving in this year's presentations. It's also exciting for me to have my pictures included in our Friesian Magazine. Thanks to all of our FHANA members that made the trip to Kentucky to show off these beautiful horses!

My first Photo Show!

So as a finale to our photography class we are having a photo show and one of my pictures has been chosen!

I am so excited! The opening is tomorrow and my parents are coming in to see it! It'll be a fun time and not everyone gets to say they have been in a photo show, even if it is a student show. I'll post more later after the show. I'll get some shots of the actual gallery.
